custom_padding=&#8221;|||&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; custom_padding__hover=&#8221;|||&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<div class=\"recipe-ingredients\">\n<div class=\"recipe-ingredients-wrapper\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"recipe-method recipe-method--no-links\">\n<div class=\"recipe-method-wrapper\">\n<h2 class=\"recipe-method__heading\">Method<\/h2>\n<p>1. \u00a0Put two whole eggs in a food processor, along with half a small clove of garlic and a teaspoon of mustard powder. \u00a0Blitz thoroughly and leave running.<\/p>\n<p>2. \u00a0Once these three ingredients are blended, start adding the oil, just a drop at a time.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s really important to do this as slowly as possible, and continue to add slowly until all the oil has been incorporated.<\/p>\n<p>3.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The mayonnaise should be quite thick now so add a splash of white wine vinegar for acidity, along with some salt and pepper.<\/p>\n<p>4.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Whilst the food processor is running, add 1-2 tablespoons of fresh beetroot juice so that your mayonnaise is a vibrant pink colour.<\/p>\n<p>5. \u00a0Taste and add more seasoning if necessary.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;4.16&#8243; Wring well and leave to cool. Arrange the jelly bag on a stand or up-turned stool with a large bowl beneath, ready for the fruit juice to drip through.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\"><p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Place the blackberries, apple, water and lemon juice in a preserving or large, heavy based saucepan.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\"><p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Bring to the boil, then simmer over a low heat for 20-25 minutes or until the fruit is completely soft.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\"><p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Tip the soft fruit and juice into the jelly bag and leave to drip for 8 hours or until all the juice has been released.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\"><p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Prepare the jam jars by washing in hot soapy water and leaving to dry and warm in a cool oven - 130C\/250F\/Gas \u00bd for 10-15 minutes.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\"><p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Measure the juice. For every 600ml\/1 pint weigh 450g\/1lb sugar. Put the juice and sugar back into the clean preserving pan, heat over a low heat until all the sugar has dissolved, add the cr\u00e8me de cassis, if using. Bring to the boil and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until setting point is reached.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"recipe-method__list-item\"><p class=\"recipe-method__list-item-text\">Skim away any scum from the top of the jelly and fill the jam jars to the brim. Cover, seal and label.
